Thoughts & Printers is an interactive art installation that merges printmaking, community engagement, and collective storytelling. Participants are invited to create paper-based works using a printer, collage elements and stickers to be contributed to a community mural on view throughout the day.
“Given the current state of events in our country, I believe art plays an important role in mental health as well as community building. The installation creates an inclusive environment where participants feel seen and heard through artistic engagement. Creating has always been an essential medium for processing emotions and expression, which makes spaces like these integral for the community.” – Willis Salomon.

Featured Illustrations by Artist, Cheyne Ellett
Cheyne Ellett is a Pomona-based artist whose work blends bold, vibrant aesthetics with themes of identity, community, and self-expression. With a background in illustration and mural-making, his art practice spans painting, ceramics, and zines, often incorporating layered imagery and dynamic compositions. Inspired by Southern California’s skateboarding, music, and DIY culture, Ellett’s work reflects a playful yet introspective exploration of storytelling and connection.
Artist Statement, Cheyne Ellett:
The work created for the Ontario Art Book Fair is a playful exploration of the physicality of art books and zine making. The beauty of this media shines through the small, thoughtful details such as textures along hand sewn spines, the raised surfaces of applied appliqués, and the tactile qualities that make each piece unique. These works are a labor of love and a testament to their creators’ dedication to the craft. Through my energetic lens, I have filtered these experiences into a vibrant and welcoming installation on the walls that invites viewers to engage with the joy and intimacy of handmade books.
